COVID-19 Response

COVID-19 Response April 3, 2020

Dear Calvary Chapel family,

It’s starting to settle in that this will be a long, hard journey. These stay-at-home orders look to be in place for quite some time. Now is the time to be strong in the Lord.

I was asked recently whether the current crisis has any relevance to latter-day events. I will be speaking about this in the weeks to come, please stay tuned for further messages.

But God has put on my heart that now is the time to strengthen the church. There is a spiritual battle underway as the enemy desires to discourage, to bring fear and anxiety. It’s like when Jesus said to Peter, “Satan has asked permission to sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail.”

God desires to strengthen your faith through his word and the outpouring of His Spirit.

That’s why I encourage you to watch online this weekend. The title of the message Pastor Rich is teaching this weekend is, “Be Strong in the Lord.” Pastor Matthew will be teaching, “More Than Conquerors!” at the Sunday evening service.

God will use these messages to strengthen faith and to prepare the church for the spiritual warfare that is part of what is happening today.

We are stronger together, let’s stay connected and growing spiritually.

Serving in Christ,

Rich Jones, Senior Pastor
