Family Hymn Sing Encore
Today’s praise and worship scene is largely defined by what one may hear on Christian radio. Before the invention of the radio itself, there were hymns. A hymn is a type of song, and partially synonymous with devotional song, specifically written for the purpose of adoration or prayer. The literal definition from the Greek is: “a song of praise.”
Please join us for this reprise of last year’s hit event. This “Family Hymn Sing,” will see us gather around the piano and sing some of the classics together. We’ll explore the origin of some well-known hymns, along with what motivated the composers and lyricists to create these beloved songs to the Lord. This event is open to all the family: children, adults, and children at heart alike.
There are a number of tests created to help people see their strengths. However, almost all of them are extremely complicated to take or to understand the results. Dr’s Gary Smalley and John Trent created a tool which is accurate, easy to read and apply to our lives. Join Pastor Shawn and Sherri Dean as they help you define your God given personality, how it enlightens your marriage, your relationships, your work and your parenting. Here’s a taste: Are you a person who says, “let’s do it now”, or “trust me! It will work out,” or “let’s keep things the way they are,” or “how was it done in the past?” It will be a fun evening with great insights to take home.

A close look at early Jewish wedding customs and the amazing parallels to the events and timeline of those events. The main scripture is John 14:1-3. The meaning and promise Jesus made to the disciples (and us) would have been abundantly clear to them giving them (and us) the peace and confidence to guide them after Jesus’ death, resurrection and ascension. Maranatha!! Come quickly Lord Jesus.

Do the words inferiority, insecurity, inadequacy, guilt, worry and doubt describe any part of your life?”
Why are so few of us enjoying the abundant, productive life we have already inherited?
Why are so many believers living so far below their potential in Christ?
Whether you realize it or not, the Holy Spirit is actively involved in every dimension of your Christian life. From before the point of your conversion until you get to heaven, we are not intended to live our lives apart from Him. In fact, we cannot live the Christian life apart from Him.
Christian maturity cannot be attained by trying harder or doing more. God does not dangle the prospect of an abundant life before us and then set us loose in a maze to try and find our way through. The Holy spirit acts as our guide and our companion; the One sent from heaven to lead us home. He enables us to obey God, empowers us to become like Jesus, and fills us with supernatural power for work and for witness. We should, therefore, learn how to listen to Him, how to follow Him, how to rely on His power, and how to walk in His fullness.
Come join us as we consider the topic “How do we walk by the Spirit?”
